Al Bustan Seeds of Change Residency with Tremain Smith

In the spring of 2011 resident artist Tremain Smith came to Northeast High School to work with one of my Art I classes and a beginner ESOL class on a visual art project funded and organized by Al Bustan. The project focused on Islamic art and geometric design. Students worked with geometry tools and colored pencils to practice individually and ultimately worked collaboratively on a large-scale encaustic and oil paint wood panel.
